Since we’ve opened, we’ve been dedicated to changing the lives of people one person at a time, through martial arts, education and coaching. We strive to provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for all students and family members. We take pride in creating an environment for individuals to achieve, develop and succeed in their personal goals.
We strongly believe that martial arts can be for everyone, regardless of age, gender or experience levels. Throughout all of our programs, students will not only learn the necessary skill sets to protect themselves, we stand behind our realistic and practical approach, confident it will enable every member to achieve greatness and live their best life.

Head Instructor – Dominic Puntoriero
With his vast knowledge and almost 20 years of teaching experience, Master Dominic is the owner and Head Instructor of D3 Martial Arts in Palm Harbor, FL. A child of the 80s, he was fascinated by The Karate Kid and instantly started mimicking what he saw on the screen. Dominic began studying martial arts at age 7 in ITF Tae Kwon Do under the instruction of Master Wassim Khechen in Buffalo, NY. He began competing almost immediately in the Eastern United States tournament circuit, winning several titles over the following years. Master Dominic obtained his black belt at 10 and by the time he was 12 he was featured in Black Belt Magazine for being the youngest competitor to compete for grand championship in the 18+ division. Dominic went on to obtain his 2nd degree under Master Khechen before taking a hiatus from his daily training for college.
While obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in History and Forensic Science, Master Dominic dabbled in varying martial arts, obtaining rank in these styles and delving into the history of all the varying arts he had been fascinated by growing up. Immediately following college, Master Dominic relocated to Clearwater, FL, where he fell in love with the warm winters and rekindled his love for training through the art of Hapkido. Over the last 10 years Master Dominic has obtained his 4th Dan in Hapkido under Grandmaster David Wheaton in addition to a 1st Dan in Phillipino Warrior Arts with Grandmaster Yaro.
In 2014 Master Dominic started training in sport karate to compete on the professional circuit that drew him into the arts so many years prior. Studying under Sensei Jarrett Leiker with Amerikick National Team, going on to win silver medals in three divisions with the WKA World Team in Italy, October 2016. In 2017 Master Dominic was asked to join the Amerikick National Team and continues to travel the country competing in tournaments. Accomplishing his hardest feat to date in July 2018,Dominic tested for his 4th Dan black belt in Senshu Do Ryu under GrandMaster Bob Leiker of Overland Park, Kansas.
Instructor - Sensei Reace
Sensei Reace has been a D3 instructor since 2020. Her specialty is within our Karatesaurus and Little Samurai programs, where she helps kids from age 3 on learn important life skills.
Reace began studying Dynamic-circle Hapkido under Master Dominic in 2014. She earned her black belt in Hapkido in 2017 and went on to become a head instructor at her former studio. Continuing to train and teach Hapkido, she branched out to earn rank in Arnis (Filipino stick fighting) followed up with her second-degree in Dynamic-circle Hapkido in 2019 before relocating to Gainesville to further her education. She moved back to the Tampa Bay area due to the pandemic and worked as a live-in nanny as she earned her associate’s degree, before starting her current studies at the University of South Florida, where she is majoring in Psychology with a business minor.
After a short hiatus from the Martial Arts world, Sensei Reace reconnected with Master Dominic, the rest is history.
Now working vigorously to earn her next degree in Senshu Do Ryu Karate and continuing to teach as much as possible. Sensei Reace spends free time reading (mostly about different Martial Arts), posting pictures of the kids on social media, or catching up with her family. She is looking forward to traveling with the D3 Martial Arts competition team in 2022, and perhaps doing some of her own to study multiple cultures and languages. With a passion for knowledge, children, and helping others, we are lucky to have her on the mat at D3 Martial Arts!
